# Team Radio for Pest & Wildlife Control

> Push-to-talk for the office and techs inside WildPipe: hold to talk from any office screen, Dispatch or the field app, on channels for the whole team, a company, a team or a private talk.

**Part of:** [Field Work](https://wildpipe.com/features/field-work) (Dispatch & Serve)

## Overview
Push-to-talk for the office and techs inside WildPipe: hold to talk from any office screen, Dispatch or the field app, on channels for the whole team, a company, a team or a private talk.

## Key outcome
Talk to the whole crew in one press, without a separate radio system.

## What you can do
- Hold to talk from any screen, a talk key, a foot pedal or the Windows helper
- Channels, private talk that asks first, and Available, Busy or Do not disturb
- Emergency cuts in on anyone; flag a conversation for follow-up, give it to someone and turn it into a visit or task
- Every conversation turned into text and summed up in a line, with an English translation when someone speaks another language
- Talk with the steering wheel or headset button (Android), safety check-ins for people working alone, and radio reports

## Explore the capabilities
### Talk from anywhere in WildPipe
- Hold to talk from any office screen, from Dispatch or from the top bar of the field app.
- On a computer, use a talk key you choose, a USB foot pedal, the Chrome shortcut or the Windows helper to talk from any program.
- Everyone on the channel hears a message at the same moment, and a late joiner hears it from the start.

### Channels and private talk
- Start with one channel for everyone, then add channels for a company, a team or people you pick.
- Talk to one person privately. Private talk can ask first, and it waits for people who are Busy or on Do not disturb.
- People show as Available, Busy or Do not disturb, and someone on a call or a visit can show as Busy by itself.
- Dispatchers can send an alert tone so everyone listens before an announcement.

### Emergencies and records
- Emergency cuts in on everyone on the channel and keeps the microphone open until it is tapped again.
- Managers replay saved messages as a conversation, read their text version, and link a conversation to the job or visit it was about.
- Saved messages are kept for the number of days you choose, and you can turn saving off.

## Settings and choices
- Choose who is in each channel.
- Turn saving messages on or off, and how long to keep them. A company can choose differently for its own channels.
- Decide whether private talk asks first or plays right away, and how loud other channels play while you listen on yours.

## From start to finish
1. A manager turns on Team Radio and sets up channels.
2. Everyone reads the short recording notice once.
3. Hold the talk button to talk.

## More ways to use it
- Dispatch tells the whole crew about a schedule change in one press.
- A tech holds Emergency and everyone on the channel hears them right away.

## Feature questions
### Do we need radio hardware?
No. Team Radio runs in the office and field apps. Computers can add a foot pedal or the Windows helper if you like.

### Who can replay saved messages?
Managers. Everyone sees a notice that messages are saved before they first talk.

## Here’s an example
A dispatcher keys up once and every tech on the route hears the change, while the office keeps working in the same software.
