# Offline Field Mode for Pest & Wildlife Control

> Keep working where the signal drops. Technicians can open any stop on their route, mark On The Way and Arrived, finish the visit with photos and its report, record pesticide applications, check traps, and add notes with no connection. The work is saved safely on the phone and sent on its own when signal comes back.

## Overview
Keep working where the signal drops. Technicians can open any stop on their route, mark On The Way and Arrived, finish the visit with photos and its report, record pesticide applications, check traps, and add notes with no connection. The work is saved safely on the phone and sent on its own when signal comes back.

## Key outcome
Keep working when the signal drops.

## What you can do
- Open and finish any stop on the route with no signal
- Update stop status, check traps, and record pesticide use offline
- See exactly what is still waiting to send

## Explore the capabilities
### Works with no signal
- Open My Route from the last saved copy, with a clear “No connection” bar.
- Open any open stop on the route, even one the tech never tapped, because the route saves every stop in advance.
- Mark On The Way, Arrived, or Failed; the stop keeps the real time the tech tapped.
- Finish the visit with photos, signature, charges, and its required inspection report.
- Record pesticide applications, use saved mixing recipes, and draw property diagrams.
- Scan a trap at the stop and record a check, and add notes to the job or customer.
- Keep location points with the time they were really taken.

### Saved safely, sent on its own
- Work is stored encrypted on the phone until it is sent.
- Saved work sends itself, in the order it was done, when signal returns; no button to remember.
- Customers are not texted about a trip that already happened when a late update finally sends.
- Signing out or an expired login never deletes work that is waiting to send, and the app warns before signing out with work unsent.
- Sending the same work twice never creates a duplicate visit or record.

### Know what has and hasn’t sent
- A sync panel shows each item waiting, when it was saved, and the next try.
- Stops show their saved status right away, marked as waiting to send.
- Tap “Sync now” to send right away once you have signal.
- If the office refuses an item, the tech sees the real reason instead of a silent failure.
- Needs signal: clocking in and out, taking payments, building quotes, moving or flagging traps and equipment, and reports started outside a visit.

## Settings and choices
- Use the iPhone or Android app, or install the web version from the browser.
- Open My Route once with signal each day so every stop is saved for dead zones.

## From start to finish
1. Open the day’s route with signal.
2. Drive, arrive, and finish stops with or without bars.
3. Saved work sends itself when the phone reconnects, and the office sees it with the real times.

## More ways to use it
- A tech treats three rural properties with no service. All three arrivals, completed stops, and pesticide records reach the office when the truck returns to town.
- A tech checks traps on a farm with no bars. Each scanned trap check sends with its real time once the truck is back in coverage.
- A phone dies before its work is sent. When the tech signs back in, the saved work is still there and sends.

## Feature questions
### Does the web version work offline?
Yes, once installed and with My Route opened with signal that day. The route and its stops reopen without a connection. The iPhone and Android apps carry the whole app on the phone.

### Do arrival times come out wrong after a dead zone?
No. On The Way, Arrived, and finished times are the times the tech tapped, checked so they can never be in the future or out of order.

### What happens if two people change the same stop?
Saved work is sent in the order it was done, and anything the office refuses comes back with the reason so nothing is silently lost.

### What still needs a connection?
Clocking in and out, taking card payments, building quotes, moving or flagging traps and equipment, reports started outside a visit, and office screens.

## Here’s an example
Your technician finishes a crawlspace treatment with no bars. The arrival time, completed stop, and pesticide record are on the office screen a few minutes after they drive back into coverage.
